    • Attend and provide input to regular meetings with Site Manager/Site Supervisor to ensure efficient and effective supervision
    • Prepare for and complete internal and external audits with Site Manager and SHEQ team

    • Liaise with Site Manager and Project Engineer/Manager to co-ordinate all planned works
    • Successfully complete and implement SSSTS course and be the main point of contact for the cabling installation
    • Efficiently lead cable installation teams including assisting with the installation of cabling, earthing and testing
    • Assist electricians, jointers and any other trade with general works
    • Carry out toolbox talks and daily briefings to staff
    • Monitor, manage and report on performance of staff on site

As a Procurement Assistant, you will support the Procurement Manager in ensuring all purchasing activities comply with company procedures and align with Powersystems’ strategic goals. You’ll play a key role in maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

    • Job Title: Procurement Assistant
    • Salary: £25,000 – £29,000 (depending on experience)
    • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
    • Location: Bristol (Hybrid working available after probation)
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Assist the Procurement Manager to ensure procurement is compliant with company procedures and processes
    • Support the Procurement Manager by negotiating with suppliers for best quality, service and price
    • Manage and maintain supplier relationships as well as assist in the vetting and review of supplier performance
    • Liaise with Project Engineers for the preparation of project procurement schedules
    • Process requisitions, send and receive RFQs, place purchase orders with suppliers to ensure goods, plant and services are compliant with contract requirements and delivered on time
    • Support finance in resolving invoices and account discrepancies
    • Prepare analysis and reports on costs, procurement process and targets
    • Uphold a professional image, contribute to Powersystems’ success, and proactively improve services and efficiency

    Required Skills:
    • Experience in procurement or purchasing, preferable within the construction industry
    • Enthusiastic, hardworking and the ability to work collaboratively to achieve deadlines and targets
    • Proven attention to detail and able to demonstrate good oral and written communication skills
    • Proficiency in industry-standard software and comfortable using all Microsoft applications and have robust IT literacy
    • A team player with a confident and enthusiastic attitude
    • Strong organisational, time management, IT (MS Office), and report writing skills, with excellent spoken and written English.
    • Ability to clearly communicate technical and commercial information, negotiate effectively, and contribute to a dynamic team.
    • Adaptable, resilient, proactive, willing to travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays, and holds a full UK driving licence.
    • Right to Work within the UK without limitation
    • Knowledge and experience of SAGE accounting software or equivalent
    • Have CIPS qualification or working towards this
    • £25,000 – £29,000 per annum depending on skills and experience
