Powersystems, the leading employee-owned high voltage electrical engineering specialist, brought together its entire workforce on June 6th for the third annual Company Day, celebrating remarkable financial performance and reinforcing its commitment to employee ownership under the inspiring theme “Our Company, Our Voices, Our Future.”



Record-Breaking Performance Reflects Employee Ownership Success
The employee-owned business delivered exceptional results in 2024, surpassing its ambitious £50m turnover target while successfully paying off deferred share purchases – a milestone that strengthens every employee-owner’s stake in the company’s future.

Looking ahead, Managing Director Chris Jenkins announced unprecedented growth projections for 2025, with turnover forecast at £73m and continued profitability. “With work secured for 2025 and 2026, we’re in an unprecedented position of strength as an employee-owned business,” Jenkins stated. “Our mission remains clear: To be the High Voltage Specialist of Choice.“
Building on this momentum, we are charting a bold course through 2028 and beyond—driven by our commitment to financial growth, people development, and innovation—underpinned by our guiding principle: Our Company, Our Voices, Our Future.

The day’s highlight came through live polling that captured the authentic voice of employee-owners, with health safety & well-being emerging as the company’s top priority – demonstrating how employee ownership drives genuine workplace values.





Nicki Barnett, representing the Employee Forum of 10 elected representatives, showcased how employee voices shape company direction through regular feedback sessions every eight weeks. Current employee-driven initiatives include EV salary sacrifice schemes, 50th anniversary celebrations, and enhanced leadership training – all reflecting the democratic decision-making power of employee ownership.

SHEQ Manager Trevor Bamber announced the rollout of Evotix software and a comprehensive carbon footprint analysis partnership with Auditel Ltd, reinforcing the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility that employee-owners champion.
