Powersystems Energises Communities Through Charitable Giving

May 28, 2025

From Friday, June 7, to Sunday, June 9, our remarkable team, the Powersystems Dirty Dozen, faced the gruelling challenge of the National Three Peaks – a journey across Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon. Fuelled by determination and camaraderie, they conquered these formidable peaks, all in aid of Dementia UK. Every step taken was driven by a shared mission: to raise vital funds and awareness for individuals and families affected by dementia. Thanks to our incredible supporters, we raised an astonishing £19,846, helping Dementia UK provide expert care and guidance to those in need.

Powersystems is proud to stand alongside The Lighthouse Charity, an organisation dedicated to supporting the construction community and their families. We understand the demands and challenges of the industry and recognise the importance of mental and physical well-being. With our £1,200 donation, we reinforce our commitment to safeguarding the health and happiness of our employees—whether onsite or office-based. Through this partnership, our team has access to expert advice, counselling, and invaluable resources designed to support them through life’s challenges.

Suicide remains the leading cause of death for men under 50 in the UK, and Powersystems is determined to help tackle this crisis. Our £1,415 donation to the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) will aid in providing free, confidential helpline services to those in distress, while also helping to dismantle the stigma surrounding mental health. Together, we strive to create a culture where people feel supported, empowered, and never alone in their struggles.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men, but through research, education, and early detection, lives can be saved. Powersystems is proud to donate £1,415 to Prostate Cancer UK, supporting groundbreaking research initiatives and ensuring those affected receive the care and assistance they deserve.

At Powersystems, community spirit is at the heart of everything we do. Our Macmillan Cake Day was a resounding success, raising £264 for Macmillan Cancer Support. In the spirit of generosity, the business matched this amount, bringing our total donation to £528. Macmillan plays a crucial role in supporting people living with cancer, offering financial, emotional, and physical assistance to ensure that no one faces cancer alone.

In memory of Robbie Meiklem, a talented young footballer whose life was tragically cut short, Powersystems is honoured to donate £1,000 to The Kris Boyd Charity. Established by former professional footballer Kris Boyd, this organisation is dedicated to raising awareness around mental health and providing essential support to individuals and communities across Scotland. Through wellness workshops, educational talks, and community initiatives, The Kris Boyd Charity continues to make a lasting impact, and we are proud to contribute to their mission in Robbie’s name.

At Powersystems, we don’t just power industries—we power communities. Our charitable initiatives reflect our deep-rooted commitment to social responsibility and our belief in the power of collective action. As we continue to innovate in energy solutions, we remain dedicated to making a lasting impact on society—one donation, one challenge, and one act of kindness at a time.
