The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow played host to the UK’s largest low-carbon energy and renewables event on 14–15 May 2025. With record-breaking attendance of over 13,000 industry professionals, All-Energy continues to be a powerhouse of innovation, collaboration, and forward-thinking discussions. Powersystems was at the heart of the action on Stand G10, engaging with visitors and driving conversations on the future of energy infrastructure.
Energising the Next Generation of Engineers
Among the standout themes of this year’s event was the critical need to inspire and equip the next generation of engineers. From advanced grid expansion and renewable integration to energy storage and electrification, the opportunities within the energy sector are vast—and growing.
Jules Daly, Powersystems Marketing and Communications Manager, captured the energy of the event perfectly:
“All-Energy 2025 has been our most ambitious and inspiring exhibition yet. The aisles were packed, buzzing with energy from start to finish. The appetite for clean energy innovation and collaboration has never been stronger. Seeing young talent and future engineers so engaged with the industry was truly exciting.”
A Platform for Innovation and Connection
The event featured powerful discussions led by industry experts, including keynote addresses from Scotland’s Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes MSP and Chris Stark CBE, Head of Mission Control for Clean Power 2030. Leaders from organisations such as ScottishPower, Siemens Energy, and Octopus Energy shared insights on investment, skills development, and policy improvements driving the energy transition.
Networking was key to this year’s exhibition, with Powersystems strengthening industry relationships while championing grassroots talent. Jules Daly was delighted to meet Energy Voice and E-FWD, an initiative committed to securing investment, shaping policy, and driving collaboration across the UK energy sector.
Powering Futures – Connecting Young Talent with Careers in Energy
One of the most inspiring moments was connecting with Powering Futures, a programme designed to link employers with young talent across over 100 Scottish schools. Since launching in 2020, it has engaged more than 5,000 students, partnering with 180 businesses to support career development in the energy sector.
With nearly 50% of Scotland’s secondary schools participating, the initiative is actively shaping the next generation of engineers, sustainability leaders, and energy innovators. Young workers involved in the programme have even influenced company sustainability strategies, proving that authentic engagement is the key to progress.
Looking Ahead to All-Energy 2026
As Powersystems continues to deliver expert engineering across the UK, we’re excited to build on the momentum from All-Energy 2025. The next event is already set for 13–14 May 2026 at Glasgow’s SEC, and we look forward to another year of inspiration, innovation, and collaboration.
