Powersystems Employee Owned Business now powered by partners

Powersystems UK Ltd are pleased to announce that as from 2nd January 2019 we are now an employee owned business. This marks a new chapter in the history for the company. And ensures a continuing legacy for the company based upon its original founders engineering ethos and family values.

This positive step will further empower all employees, in ensuring the business continues to flourish delivering high quality and engineering excellence within the High Voltage sector.

An Employee Owned Business Model

The employee owned business (EOB) follows a similar model to that of the John Lewis Partnership with all employees of Powersystems becoming “Powersystems partners”. This model will ensure the long-term stability of the company ownership, as well as a driver for greater performance and productivity throughout the business.

New Managing Director 

Chris Jenkins will take over the Managing Director role from Stuart Wilsmore who will remain on the company board along with founding partner Derek Earby as a non-executive Directors.

Chris comments:

“I am honoured and privileged after 25 years with the company to take on this role and lead us all forward as an employee owned business. This change in ownership will only strengthen our culture and ensure we achieve our vision of being recognised by industry and clients as the high voltage specialist contractor of choice across the UK”.

Powersystems  participation in the renewable energy sectors continues with growth in grid connections, industrial power sectors, STOR & battery energy projects. With the emergence of new technologies and markets such as electrical vehicle charging (EV) , Powersystems is looking forward to an exciting future for our business.
