Bristol, 10 July 2025 – Yesterday, our Perrinpit Road solar project site in Bristol became more than just a workplace—it became a safe space for open conversation, reflection, and support, thanks to a powerful visit from the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity.
As part of their #MakeItVisible campaign, the Lighthouse Charity is on a mission to break the silence surrounding mental health in construction. We were honoured to welcome Andy Bishop and Sam Warner, who delivered a deeply moving and impactful session that resonated with every person on site.

A Story of Strength and Resilience
Andy shared his personal journey—his early days in the Army, the challenges of transitioning to civilian life, and the silent struggles that so many in our industry face. His message was raw, real, and unforgettable:
Check in with your mates—really check in. Look them in the eye. Ask twice. Hug them if they need it. Peel back the layers and talk.
Breaking the Stigma
The session tackled the tough topics—anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and the all-too-common habit of saying “I’m fine” when we’re anything but. But it also brought hope. It reminded us that mental health is just as vital as physical safety on site, and that no one has to face their battles alone.
💬 “It’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to ask for help. And help is always there—free, confidential, and 24/7.”
